Hietzing (XIII distretto) ha ospitato numerosi personaggi importanti e famosi, come Johann Strauss, Gustav Klimt ed Egon Schiele e offre numerosi luoghi d’interesse: il Palazzo di Schönbrunn (l’ex residenza estiva della famiglia imperiale e patrimonio mondiale dell’UNESCO), lo Zoo di Lainzer e gli edifici progettati da Otto Wagner e Adolf Loos. L’hotel si trova a pochi minuti a piedi dal n. 18 di Maxingstraße, dove un tempo viveva Johann Strauss e dove compose molte delle sue opere, come ad esempio “Il Pippistrello”. Non molto lontano dalla struttura si trova la chiesa di Maria Hietzing, che merita sicuramente di essere visitata. Una delle vie più antiche di Hietzing è Altgasse, rinomata per i numerosi negozi di antichità e di artigianato.
