Crompton House is a warm and friendly Victorian guest house located midway between the busy villages of Windermere and Bowness. The guest house is a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced bed and breakfast, with an excellent location in the English Lake District National Park, Windermere. The 7 guest rooms are non-smoking and each has an en suite bathroom. There is one four-poster room, one family room and 5 double rooms. A grilled full English breakfast is served in the dining room, as is a good choice of cereals, fruit and juice from the buffet table. Within easy walking distance there is a host of restaurants catering for all tastes and prices. There is also a cinema, nightclubs, pubs and shops. You can catch a steamer from the pier at Bowness for a memorable trip on the lake. This is a 3-star rated guest house.

Also included are free leisure facilities at a nearby Country Club in Bowness, to complete your perfect short break. Crompton House Bed and Breakfast Guest House is ideally situated within easy walking distance of the villages of Windermere and Bowness on Windermere, with ferry access to Ambleside and Lakes end. Cumbria is a true walkers dream. Walks ranging from ambling strolls to longer, scenic fell walks begin right outside. Crompton House Bed and Breakfast Guest House is a strictly Non-Smoking Guest House retaining lots of Victorian character. The warm friendly atmosphere creates a relaxed and homely feel. Free car parking and internet access are included. Windermere and Bowness on Windermere offer a fantastic selection of restaurants and bars to suite all palates and purses. Local attractions include the recently refurbished ‘World of Beatrix Potter’, Steam boat museum and Wordsworth Rydal Mount and Dove Cottage, at nearby Grasmere.

A minimum 3-night stay is required on all public holidays, including New Year. There are no time restrictions, although guests returning late at night must keep noise to a minimum; respect must be given to other guests and neighbours. Leisure Facilities: Please note that the leisure facilities are at a nearby country club a few minutes’ drive away and not on site.
